Welcome to Reflections

  • Welcome to my “Reflections” page… a place where I get to reflect back to you some of what happens on my travels, interactions with those of you who have come to my workshops, and sometimes just general rambling about what it means to create worship with deep soul. I’ll be posting pictures from various events and workshops, telling stories about worship experiences, and sometimes reflecting back what I have learned from YOU. I’ll do this in the tradition of my dear friend, Nina Reeves, who taught me this phrase: “Let us speak of the deepest things we know.” Indeed. The surface of water is really a meeting point between the things above it being reflected on its face and the depths just below it, waiting to be explored. Like the water’s surface, worship is that place where the heights of Divine light are refracted into a rainbow of hope and possibility and where the depth of God’s love beckons to us.
