Over the past several months, I have felt God pulling me and my family in several directions. Often, we’d run full on into a brick wall, thinking that we’d finally found the direction that God was leading us. Often… we were wrong. But, I guess faith is the act of keepin on, keepin’ on… pray, listen…and keep going. Over the past few days, God has kicked things into high gear. I feel like a kid who’s strapped into the roller coaster that just crested over the top of the first climb and had begun the fast, freaky, yet somehow very precise track of loops twists and turns. All I can do is let go, throw up my hands, and trust that it will all be alright at the end.
Last week Valerie and I drove to Colorado Springs and opened escrow on a beautiful home. We’ll be living there as of the first week in November, and we’ll likely get fully moved in sometime in 2032! I was born in Tucson, AZ and thus far have spent most of my life between AZ and CA – although I have racked up more than 400,000 domestic air miles while traveling to other states! Valerie on the other hand, was born in Newport Beach, CA and has never lived outside of Orange or LA counties. So, even with a minimal understanding of snow… or the world outside California, Val and I are ready to move ourselves, our son and our dog to a new place. After a great deal of prayer, and several months of struggling, we are confident that Colorado Springs is where God is calling us to be. We are scared, yet somehow still at peace.
